University of Illinois Nanoengineering Laboratory works on a mixture of problems in microelectromechanical systems and nanotechnology. In particular, we have expertise in manufacturing and metrology at the micrometer and nanometer scale.

  • Research on applications of additive manufacturing on thermal sinks, microfluidic devices, and lab on a chip devices
  • Assess and utilize different additive manufacturing techniques
  • Model heat transfer and fluid flow simulations for thermal fins in COMSOL, ANSYS, and MATLAB

Tunnel X Makerspace is the first 100% student-run research and development laboratory in Turkey. This makerspace allows students and other university shareholders to create inventions or develop entrepreneurial ventures by providing them with a co-working space, manufacturing capabilities and network of distinguished people.

Koç University Mechanical Characterization Laboratory develops a truly three-dimensional monolithic fabrication of silicon nanowires with a critical dimension of 20 nm within thick silicon layers. nanowires’ piezoresistive response can be characterized under both quasi-static and resonant conditions with future implications in sensor applications.

  • Conducted research on MEMS-based Micro Tensile Testing Device for Nanowire

  • Work on a paid consulting project for a Fortune 100 Company as a part of a diverse team of nine consultants to identify and assess capabilities, opportunities, and threats of quantum computing
